At MVMS, we focus on the whole child by implementing a social-emotional learning curriculum and character education. We do this on Wednesdays. Each Wednesday, students work on a lesson that promotes self-awareness, social-awareness, mindset skills, relationship skills, character skills, and career exploration.

MVMS uses lessons from The Mind Trek SEL Program and TBRI.

Golden Tickets & Golden Marauder Parties

Students exemplifying hard work and good character have the opportunity to earn Golden Tickets. Tickets can be turned in as a homework pass, a tardy pass, or placed in the raffle. At the end of each quarter, tickets are drawn for the raffle, and students win an Amazon Gift Card. At the end of each quarter, students who have had no discipline that quarter also have the opportunity to participate in the Golden Marauder Party. This is a time for students to spend time with their friends hanging out, playing games, playing basketball, and volleyball.
