Field of Flags: Honoring Our Veterans

We would like to personally invite anyone who has an appreciation for veterans to consider donating to Mt. Vernon Middle School Field of Flags!

Your patriotic donation will add a flag to our field. Make a gift today through Nov. 11 to show your commitment to ensuring our nation continues to stand by and support veterans after all they have sacrificed for our country!

All proceeds go to DAV (Disabled American Veterans), a charity dedicated to a single purpose: keeping our promise to America’s veterans. Donate to MVMS Field of Flags HERE.

See our flag display in person on Veterans Day, Nov. 11.

2026-2027 School Supply Lists

Wellness Uniform

Students are expected to change into a wellness uniform for PE to support a more active, focused, and respectful learning environment. The uniform is designed to ensure all students are dressed appropriately for movement, promoting safety, comfort, and full participation in physical activities. Having a consistent PE uniform also helps reduce distractions, supports personal hygiene, and encourages a sense of routine and responsibility. Most importantly, it reflects our commitment to student wellness by helping every student feel prepared and confident during class. Please see the information below for specifics.

CONSUMABLE FEES

At the May 2026 meeting, the MVCSC Board of Trustees approved consumable curricular fees for the 2026-2027 school year. These fees are based on each student’s course schedule and are not textbook rental fees.

Consumable fees cover materials students use during coursework, such as clay, paint, sheet music, science lab supplies, PLTW project materials, and other hands-on classroom resources, but do not include textbooks. These materials are used directly by students and cannot be reused from year to year.

The complete list of fees will be posted under the “Parents” tab on each school's website. 2026-2027 Consumable Fees

Any family wishing to apply for meal assistance may do so by logging into Skyward Family Access, opening the Food Service tab and clicking on Applications. Applications must be filled out every year after July 1st. We Need You! Help Us Rebuild Our PTO

Our PTO has always played a vital role in shaping the MVMS experience for both students and staff—and now, we need your help to rebuild and reenergize this important group.

From teacher appreciation events to student celebrations and field trips, many of the things our kids look forward to most wouldn’t be possible without a strong PTO. When families get involved, the impact is felt throughout the entire school community.

Whether you’re a planner, a helper, or just someone who cares deeply about making MVMS the best it can be—we’d love for you to join us. Every contribution makes a difference!
If you're interested in learning more or getting involved, please reach out to mtvernonmiddleschoolpto@gmail.com.

Let’s work together to make this year unforgettable for our students and staff!
